What is Holding You Back?
Do you know?

Psychologists generally agree that the majority of our actions may be due to subconscious influences. Positive and negative. Three out of every five actions we perform are prompted by something outside of our awareness! Most of the time, we aren't aware of what makes us do, what we do. Is there a practical, easier and realistic way for us to find success? The answer may be found with eliminating emotional blocks through adjusting the subconscious.

Enter Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). N.E.T. is based on the concept that when a trauma is combined with an emotional situation, the incident is stored in the subconscious. Later, when a similar emotional situation occurs, your body automatically responds with a physical reaction much like the one brought on by the original trauma.

Eastern medicine, along with several behavioral schools of Western psychology, has long recognized the link between emotions and the body. Through trial and error, it was found that when the subconscious gives a message that conflicts with the conscious mind, a strong muscle temporarily weakens. By having a patient hold one arm straight out and make a statement like " I can win," the resistance level in the arm can be tested. If the arm gives way, that would be the tip-off that the patient's subconscious is not in accord with the conscious statement. In other words, the patient is not in alignment emotionally.

Through a systematic process, a way was found to have the patient remember the original memory and hold that picture of the incident while doing a very gentle tapping to the spine. Using clinical procedures to communicate with the subconscious, patients are getting past lifes' obstacles that were due to feelings getting "stuck" in childhood.

The procedure is a physical release, not "talk it out" therapy - this results in quicker resolution and healing. A soft touch correction, in conjunction with the memory of a situation, allows the body to erase an outdated emotional response. The body and the mind are updated, and the patient can move on to more useful and productive responses in the present.

Top athletes work hard to get their bodies into the best possible condition. They practice. They work out. They run. They eat right. They get professional advice. They do whatever they can to reach higher and higher levels of performance. But sometimes even the best athletes reach a level they can't seem to crack.

Maybe you've hit that barrier. Your tennis game has plateaued and more practice hasn't brought the desired results. You yearn to make that high velocity back hand, but every time you attempt your new swing, your legs become Jell-O. It's as though you're driving into a roadblock and can't get past. But why? What is holding you back? Believe it or not, you are.

Here's what's happened. Your body has become accustomed to performing in a particular way in response to certain triggers. By repeatedly responding to these triggers, your actions have become conditioned. In sports this is usually a good thing, because it allows you to unthinkingly execute the conditioned task while you concentrate on other aspects of your performance.

Conditioned responses are what enable athletes to make big plays. But such conditioning works both ways; it can cause you to sabotage your success. This happens when a physical reponse becomes linked to a negative trigger. Result: the conditioned response hinders rather than helps you achieve your goal.

Where do these emotional triggers come from? Prior experiences. For example, a boy who is simultaneously spanked and yelled at by his father reacts with tense muscles and an upset stomach. Years later, the boy has a similar reaction every time he's criticized by a coach. That kind of physical reaction may become a barrier that prevents an athlete from breaking through to the next level. In this example, criticism is the emotional trigger for the physical response.

"Re-Conditioning" the Response

Conditioned responses--the emotional reactions that sabotage success--can be changed. This was demonstrated in dramatic fashion in the case of Travis, a patient of mine. Travis is unusually small for a football player, 5 feet, 4 inches. For years he fought the odds and struggled to reach his dream: to play in the NFL.

One day when Travis came into my office, he told me about the tryout he'd had the week before. He'd caught every pass thrown his way and ran 40 meters in 4.3 seconds. But because of his size, he was invisible to the scouts. He told me that he could feel his chance to play pro football slipping away, despite his marvelous performance. He had only one more chance--a tryout just three weeks away--to grab the attention of the NFL coaches.

I asked Travis if he thought that running 40 meters in a tenth of a second less (4.2) would get him that draft pick. When he jumped and shouted out "Yes" I told him flatly, "Travis, I can help you run faster."

N.E.T. in Action

After I told Travis about N.E.T., he said, "Why didn't you tell me about this before? Let's go! I began treatment by testing his belief system--that is, what he thought he could achieve. Even though he had given his best, he was open to possiblity. I asked Travis to repeat the following statement out loud, "I can run 40 meters in 4.19 seconds."

As he spoke the sentence, I tested his muscular response. This test involves the patient holding out an arm while the doctor places a hand on it. If the statement produces a negative response, the muscle will unconsciously weaken and the arm will drop. If the statement produces a positive response, the muscle will remain strong and the arm will stay up.

When Travis said, "I can run 40 meters in 4.19 seconds, his arm gave way. He couldn't hold his arm up. This told me that he had a subconcious block running that fast. Then I gave him a gentle tap adjustment. Within seconds, he repeated the affirmation and was able to pass the muscle test.

Next, I asked him to say, "I'm without fear." Not surprisingly, his muscles went weak. His physical response told me that he was afraid of losing, even though his words were just the opposite. Then I asked him to say, "I'm OK with the unknown." Again, his physical response was consistent with fear.

Over the next 2 weeks, I saw Travis six more times. During the 15-minute sessions, I had him repeat various statements related to confidence and belief in himself. These statements were combined with gentle adjustments designed to release the negative conditioning that had been stored in his body.

A week after his last tryout, Travis flew into my office looking radiant--and even taller. He'd run the 40 meters in 4.15 seconds! That's arguably the fastest time in the history of the NFL draft. And because he ran in sneakers instead of spikes, the time is not official. If Travis had run in spikes, he would have run even faster. Travis was drafted in the third round and was given $350,000.

For Travis, N.E.T. meant the fullfillment of a lifelong goal. For you, N.E.T. might make the difference in your tennis or golf game, your ability to make any evasive goal a reality.

When the subconscious is in alignment with the conscious mind, great results happen. I've treated world-class athletes who never won big and were stuck. After a few months, these athletes were able to move on to the next level and became World Champions. I demonstrated this type of speed healing on national television. A woman who was sexually abused and raped in childhood, bursted into a personal shift. She now attracts positive relationships.

I have treated many celebrities and observed they all had one thing in common. An absolute belief in their self. Convince yourself first by resolving memories that limit your success - this will strengthen willpower and cultivate a positive attitude -- the two ingredients necessary for your success.

I encourage you to check out N.E.T. approach for fast emotional growth and freedom, to see if your subconscious matches your conscious. Example, " I attract the right people. " All that is required for results is open-mindedness. After 23 years in practice and giving 100,000 subconscious corrections, I know the benefits are genuine and real.
